Pip the Leaf
This here little animation of the cutie Pip the Leaf was a test in learning to use Blender and expand my knowledge of different animation software. I wanted a short and simple animation with lots of life. Looking at the model provided by Blender, I wanted a very loose and floppy feel, for Pip is a leaf. This meant lots of follow through and overlapping motion. I also decided to go with a straight forward animation technique this time, rather than blocking the entire thing out. I wanted to feel out the animation as I went along. I also explored the different lighting and rendering techniques Blender has to offer. Completed in October 2024.

Wait, What?!
An assignment given in the fall of 2022 with the requirements of achieving the double take, a small reaction leading into a bigger reaction. I was struck with the idea when the day before story was due, my windshield was shattered by a tree limb, and I myself did a double take.

Two Character Sequence
An assignment given in the Winter of 2023, I was instructed to animate a sequence utilizing two characters and dialogue. I landed on using a scene from the TV show "Euphoria." Not only was this my first time focusing on two characters in a shot, but I had the task of animating a dynamic moving camera. Even further, this camera had a hand held feel, so I was set up with a challenge, really pushing myself to focus on all aspects of the shot, from camera and layout, to dialogue, to character performance.

The Frog Tomb - Technical
In the Fall of 2023, I had the opportunity to take a technical animation class. During the duration of the quarter, we took a 2D concept design and learned the entire creative 3D pipeline, from modeling all the way to rendering. All modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, lighting, and rendering was created from scratch.

Try, Try Again
An assignment given in the fall of 2022 with the prompt try, try again. A new bell boy in the 1920's attempts to carry up the guests heavy and big luggage.
